Résumé:

At the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was captured in New York with the help of Newt Scamander. But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escapes custody and sets about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists Newt, his former Hogwarts student, who agrees to help once again, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world. 

Commentaire:

 Voici le scénario du film Les crimes de Grindelwald, le volume 2 des aventures de Newt Scamander (Norbert Dragonneau en VF).

N’ayant pas encore vu le film, mon avis ne portera que sur le scenario et sur l’histoire (sur grand écran mon avis sera sûrement différent).

Nous reprenons l’histoire quelques temps après le volume 1 et Grindelwald s’échappe dans le but de dominer le monde des sorciers. Pour cela, il se rend à Paris pour retrouver Credence, qui semble-t-il est la clé de tout. Nous retrouvons également les autres personnages (Newt, Jacob, Tina, Queenie,…) et chacun va prendre part à la bataille. Car il va falloir choisir son camp et certains choix seront surprenants. Est-on forcément mauvais si on choisit le camp des méchants? C’est la question qui se pose et qui fait écho à l’Histoire Mondiale. 

L’histoire est intéressante, même si je l’ai trouvé un peu plate. Mais mise en image, ce défaut doit disparaître. Des nouveaux personnages apparaissent et sont parfois trop peu développées. A voir si dans le volume 3, JK Rowling leur donne un peu plus d’épaisseur.

Après cette lecture, j’ai encore plus envie d’aller voir le film pour voir les mots de JK Rowling mis en scène….
